Banff's National Park's Bear Guardians reach park visitors 'where they are', with relevant, engaging messages and activities. The goals of the program are to patrol the secondary roadways in Banff National Park looking for potential or existing bear jams and deal with them as per warden protocols; to reduce habituation of bears; and to increase park visitors' knowledge of Banff's bears through informal roadside presentations and educational displays at day-use areas and at bear jams.
