Author and member of the department of history at the University of Saskatchewan Bill Waiser has written a book on the subject titled Park Prisoners. Award winning photographer Peter Dettling fell in love with the Canadian Rockies after discovering the untouched wilderness, breathtaking landscapes, diverse flora and abundant animal life, all seemingly free from human intervention and manipulation. Then he moved here and discovered things weren't quite as he had thought. His response was to write 'The Will of the Land'.
